In my years of experience, I have designed, developed and
managed various projects such as: Special Assessment Districts, Community
Redevelopment Areas, Capital Improvement and Local Agency Projects. These
projects involved roadway and drainage construction, fiber optic networks, signalized
intersection design and sidewalk projects. Additionally, I have experience in
departmental management and budget development for the City of Port
St. Lucie’s Traffic Operations Division, as well as experience as a
grant writer and grant budget administrator for the City of San José’s Department of Transportation. I
have extensive knowledge in roadway improvements and maintenance, start to finish
fiber optic communication network design, grant writing, project management,
critical thinking skills, project scheduling, public outreach and coordination
and development of technical reports and memorandums. My additional skills
include private engineering and risk assessment consulting for insurance
agencies, municipalities and private businesses. I also have worked in the
construction industry and have held various positions at the municipal level
such as: manager, grant writer, budget developer, contract negotiator and
department consolidator. Currently, I hold the position of Board Chair for the
San José Chamber of Commerce Today’s Young Professionals and an ex-officio
Board Position on the Board of the San José Chamber of Commerce. My educational background includes a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University, a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an Associate degree from Indian River Community College. Additionally, I hold an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification with the California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, and I will be sitting for the California Professional Engineers (PE) exam in October of this year.
